Two bases, one journey. Three nights on St Andrew Square in the heart of Edinburgh, with East Lothian's finest links a short drive east, followed by five nights on The Scores in St Andrews, a few hundred yards from the first tee of the Old Course.
The Edinburgh half pairs North Berwick's West Links, one of the oldest and most gloriously eccentric courses in the game, with The Renaissance Club, Tom Doak's modern masterpiece and host of the Genesis Scottish Open every year since 2019. The Fife half is anchored by five nights at Seaton House, with Kingsbarns to the south and the New, Jubilee and Castle courses inside the town itself, plus four consecutive entries into the daily Old Course ballot.

This journey is hosted from start to finish by Will Robins, who travels with the group for all nine days. Will sets the tone of the week, arranges the daily play formats and games, hosts the welcome and farewell dinners, and makes sure everyone in the group knows each other by the end of the first evening.
A hosted journey is different from a trip you book alone. You arrive as individuals and you leave as a group. The golf is the reason, but the table at the end of each day is what people remember.
Will handles the week. Mosaico handles everything underneath it, from tee times and ballots to transfers and reservations.
East Lothian meets
the Kingdom of Fife
Stand on the shore at North Berwick and you can see Fife across the water. The two greatest concentrations of links golf on earth sit facing each other across the Firth of Forth, close enough to see and far enough apart that almost nobody plays both in one week. This journey does. Three nights on the south shore in the middle of Edinburgh, five nights on the north shore in the only town where seven championship courses share a single starter's hut.
The Old Course
is not guaranteed
The Old Course at St Andrews has been holding a daily ballot for visitor tee times since long before commercial golf travel existed, and it is the only way Mosaico can pursue access for you. We do not hold guaranteed Old Course tee times.
On each of your four eligible days in St Andrews, our concierge enters your group's names, home clubs and handicaps into the Links Trust ballot two days ahead of play. The draw is made 48 hours out and results are published after 5pm the evening before. If your name comes out, we rearrange that day's plan to free you for the Old. If not, the day continues as scheduled and we enter you again.
Two points of honesty. The Old Course is closed every Sunday, so one day of a five night stay will never be eligible no matter how the week falls. And the ballot is a lottery, which means we cannot promise the result, though four consecutive entries stack the cumulative odds well above any single attempt.
For guests who would rather not leave it to chance, we can also pursue a guaranteed tee time through our network of St Andrews Links Trust authorized partners. If secured, this is an add-on subject to allocation availability at time of booking, so the earlier you let us know, the better our odds.
Six championship rounds regardless of the ballot. And if the ballot falls your way, the whole group will hear about it before breakfast is finished.

Time to settle, then a hosted welcome dinner with Will and the group, with a Scottish single malt flight to open the week.
Round One · North Berwick
North Berwick West Links
Forty minutes east along the coast to the West Links, in continuous play on the same ground since 1832 and one of the few courses in the world that genuinely has no equal. Stone walls crossing fairways, blind shots over dunes, greens tucked into the shoreline, and the original Redan at the 15th, the hole that has been copied more than any other in golf. Lunch in the clubhouse looking out at the Bass Rock.
Round Two · The Renaissance Club
The Renaissance Club
A round on the course the world's best play every July. Tom Doak's 2008 design sits on the coast between Gullane and Dirleton, with Muirfield as its immediate neighbour, and has hosted the Genesis Scottish Open every year since 2019. It plays as a par 70 at just under 7,300 yards, with five par 3s and cambered fairways running through pine and out to the Forth. A final Edinburgh evening in town afterwards. Access is by club allocation and confirmed at time of booking.

Morning private transfer north across the Forth and through Fife to Seaton House on The Scores, your home for the next five nights. Late-morning round at Kingsbarns, Kyle Phillips's 2000 masterpiece ten minutes south of town, with the North Sea visible from virtually every shot. World Top 25 and co-host of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Dinner at Ondine Oyster & Grill back at the hotel. Old Course ballot live.
Round Four · The New Course
The New Course
Old Tom Morris laid out the New Course in 1895 and a good number of locals will quietly tell you it is the better test of the two. It shares the same linksland as the Old, running out along the same strip of ground toward the Eden estuary, with tighter fairways, firmer greens and none of the crowd. A ten minute walk from the hotel door to the first tee. Old Course ballot live.
St Andrews · The Open Day
The Auld Grey Toun
The week is built so that the Sunday, when the Old Course closes and the townspeople walk their dogs down the middle of the 1st fairway, falls here. Yours to spend: a guided walk past the R&A Clubhouse, the Swilcan Bridge, the British Golf Museum and the cathedral ruins, lunch at the Jigger Inn, an afternoon on the West Sands, or a whisky hour in the Bow Butts Bar. This day also serves as the reserve day. If the ballot comes in on a day that already holds a round, we move that round here and nobody loses a tee time.
Round Five · The Jubilee
The Jubilee Course
The most seaward of the St Andrews Links courses and, on a windy day, comfortably the hardest of them. Opened in 1897 for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and reworked by Donald Steel, the Jubilee runs along the dunes closest to the beach with the biggest elevation changes in town. Guests who have played the Old and the New often report this as the round that beat them up. Old Course ballot live.
Round Six · The Castle Course
The Castle Course · Final Ballot Day
The newest of the seven, opened in 2008 on the cliffs at Kinkell Braes two miles east of town, with the best view in St Andrews looking back over the rooftops and the spires to the Old Course beyond. Dramatic, exposed and entirely modern. The fourth and final ballot day, and if the draw has not fallen your way, also the morning to try the starter's queue at first light, which delivers a handful of walk-up slots most days. A farewell dinner with Will and the group to close the week.
Departure
St Andrews to Edinburgh
A final breakfast at Seaton House and a last walk down to the 18th before private transfer to Edinburgh Airport, roughly one hour twenty minutes, for onward flights. Your concierge handles luggage, check-out and any remaining ballot follow-up. Your morning is yours.

Two properties chosen to suit each half of the week. A New Town boutique hotel on Edinburgh's finest square, then five nights in a Georgian townhouse on The Scores, a few hundred yards from the first tee of the Old Course.
Malmaison Edinburgh City
Malmaison Edinburgh City sits at 21-22 St Andrew Square, on the most handsome square in the New Town and about as central as Edinburgh gets. The Royal Mile, Princes Street Gardens and the Castle are all within a short walk, and the drive east to North Berwick and The Renaissance Club is a straight run along the coast. Chez Mal Brasserie and Bar handles dinner and the late drink after it, with a Scottish-led menu and a proper list behind the bar.
Seaton House
Seaton House is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property on The Scores, with 42 rooms including six suites and three junior suites, and sea view suites that look directly across to the first tee of the Old Course and the R&A Clubhouse. Three places to eat and drink under one roof: Ondine Oyster & Grill for Scottish seafood, The Board Room for all-day dining and Scotland's first charcuterie room, and the Bow Butts Bar for rare malts at the end of a long day.

Four Old Course Ballot Entries
Your concierge enters the group into the Links Trust ballot on each of the four eligible days in St Andrews. The Old Course green fee is not included and is payable to the starter only if your ballot is drawn.
Private Transfers
Private air-conditioned transfers from Edinburgh Airport on arrival, daily transfers to both East Lothian courses, the transfer north to St Andrews on Day 4, daily transfers in Fife, and the return to Edinburgh Airport on departure.

Will travels with the group for all nine days, sets the daily play formats and games, and hosts both the welcome dinner in Edinburgh and the farewell dinner in St Andrews.
