Land in Boise, drive ninety miles north into the Payette National Forest, and unpack once. Five nights at The Lodge at Osprey Meadows inside Tamarack Resort, on the shore of Lake Cascade with West Mountain behind you and the golf course out the door.
Two rounds on Osprey Meadows, the Robert Trent Jones Jr. course that won best new course in America when it opened and came back in 2024 after a full restoration by his firm. A day north at Jug Mountain Ranch under Jughandle Mountain. And a round inside the gates at Whitetail Club on Payette Lake, the private course Golf Digest lists among the hundred greatest in the country, arranged for the group as guests.
Dinner is on the itinerary every night. The evenings are the point as much as the golf.

This journey is hosted from start to finish by Cordie Walker of Golf Well, who filmed at Tamarack in September 2026 and came away calling the greens some of the best he'd ever played. Cordie travels with the group for all six days, sets the daily play formats and games, and hosts every dinner.
A hosted journey is different from a trip you book alone. You arrive as individuals and you leave as a group. The golf is the reason, but the table at the end of each day is what people remember.
Cordie handles the week. Mosaico handles everything underneath it, from tee times and the Whitetail introduction to transfers and reservations.
The valley between
two mountain ranges
Long Valley runs north from Cascade to McCall with the West Mountains on one side and the Salmon River Mountains on the other, Lake Cascade filling the bottom of it and Payette Lake at the top. Tamarack sits on the west shore at 4,900 feet. McCall is thirty minutes up the road. Everything on this itinerary is inside that valley, the air is thin enough to add a club's distance, and the evenings in September are the best in the state.
Whitetail is
a private club
Two of the three courses on this trip are open to the public and one is not. Whitetail Club sits inside a gated community on the west shore of Payette Lake, and its course, designed by Roger Packard and two-time U.S. Open champion Andy North, is one of only a handful in the Mountain West on Golf Digest's list of America's 100 Greatest. Members play it. Guests of the club play it. Nobody books it online.
Mosaico arranges the group's round as guests of the club through our relationship in McCall, confirmed at the time of booking. It is the round the group will talk about, and it is the one the trip is built around.
One practical note on all four rounds: you are playing at nearly 5,000 feet. The ball flies about ten percent further than it does at sea level, Osprey Meadows has a 264-yard par three that plays like 235, and the first day is usually spent flying greens. Cordie will have a laugh about it at dinner.
A private course you cannot otherwise play, a public course that came back from the dead, and a week where nobody drives more than thirty minutes to a tee.

Arrival · Boise to Tamarack
Into the Mountains
Private transfer from Boise Airport, two hours north along the Payette River through Horseshoe Bend and Cascade to Tamarack Resort. Check in at The Lodge at Osprey Meadows, the golf course on one side and the village on the other. Time for the putting course or the hot tub, then a hosted welcome dinner with Cordie to open the week.
Round One · Osprey Meadows
Osprey Meadows
Out the door and onto the first tee. Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Bruce Charlton's 2005 original was named the best new course in America, closed in 2014 when the resort went dark, and came back in July 2024 after a full restoration by the same firm: fairways widened, forced carries softened, holes rerouted for the lake. Par 73, six par fives, five par threes, 7,447 yards from the back, and Lake Cascade filling the horizon from every elevated tee. Lunch at the clubhouse, dinner on property.
Round Two · Jug Mountain Ranch
Jug Mountain Ranch
Thirty minutes north to the edge of McCall. Jug Mountain Ranch gave three quarters of its 1,400 acres to the golf course, so the routing wanders through meadow, aspen and pine under the peak of Jughandle Mountain with almost nothing built beside it. Carts are included and the drive between holes is half the pleasure. Dinner in McCall on the lake afterwards, and the drive home in the last of the light.
Round Three · Whitetail Club
Inside the Gates at Whitetail
The private round. Whitetail Club sits on the west shore of Payette Lake, and Packard and North's 7,200-yard course runs through towering pines with the water and the mountains in and out of view. Lunch at the Golf Grille on the clubhouse patio looking down Long Valley. An afternoon on the lake or in town, then a hosted dinner in McCall to mark it.
Round Four · Osprey Meadows
Osprey Meadows, Second Time Around
Back on the home course with three days of altitude in your legs and the yardages finally making sense. Play the 16th as a par five this time, take a run at the 19th, the par-three Gambler's Hole, for the week's side bets. The afternoon is open: The Spa at Tamarack, a boat on Lake Cascade, or the chairlift up West Mountain. A hosted farewell dinner with Cordie to close the week.
Departure
Tamarack to Boise
A final breakfast overlooking the course before the private transfer back down the valley to Boise Airport, two hours. Your concierge handles luggage, check-out and the timings.
Long Valley, Top to Bottom
One restored championship course, one ranch course under a mountain, and one private club on a lake. All within thirty minutes of your bed.

Alpine lodge rooms sitting between the golf course and the village, with mountain, meadow and lake views and the first tee a short walk away. An outdoor pool and hot tub for the evenings, a fitness centre and sauna, and The Spa at Tamarack next door for the afternoon you skip the second nine. Restaurants and shops in the village on foot, and Lake Cascade at the bottom of the hill for anyone who wants a boat.
