A harbour, two private courses,
and the world's most photographed walk

Sydney is not a backdrop. It is the experience. This Mosaic Journey is built for travellers who want world-class golf woven into something larger — five nights in a harbour-front suite at the Park Hyatt with the Opera House out one window and the Bridge out the other; two rounds at private members' clubs the rest of the world will never see; and in between, the harbour, the headlands, and the six-kilometre coastal walk that strings together five of Sydney's eastern beaches.

Two rounds, by design. NSW Golf Club at La Perouse — the only Sydney course in the world Top 100, perched on the cliffs above Botany Bay where Captain Cook first dropped anchor. Royal Sydney at Rose Bay, five-time host of the Australian Open and recently restored by Mackenzie & Ebert. The remainder of the week belongs to Sydney itself.

  • Park Hyatt Sydney — the harbour's most coveted address, between Opera House and Bridge
  • NSW Golf Club — Australia #5, World #68, MacKenzie 1926, cliffs over Botany Bay
  • The Royal Sydney Golf Club — founded 1893, 5× Australian Open host
  • BridgeClimb Summit — 134 metres above the harbour by sunset
  • Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk — five beaches across six kilometres
  • Farewell dinner at Bennelong, Peter Gilmore's restaurant inside the Opera House sails

Between the Opera House and the Coathanger

The most coveted address in Sydney sits on the finger of sandstone where Captain Phillip's First Fleet dropped anchor in 1788. Architecturally low and horizontal so as never to compete with the Opera House sails across the cove, the Park Hyatt was reimagined inside in 2017 — chocolate, cream and beige tones; a commissioned art programme; only 155 rooms, every one with a private balcony, dedicated 24-hour butler, and floor-to-ceiling glass opening onto the harbour.

Your Detailed Mosaic

Six days woven around two morning rounds, the harbour itself, and one full day given to Sydney's eastern beaches.

Day03

La Perouse · Botany Bay

NSW Golf Club — Australia #5

Private transfer 25 minutes south to NSW Golf Club at La Perouse — the only Sydney course in the world Top 100 and perched on the cliffs above Botany Bay where Captain Cook first landed in 1770. Eighteen holes of MacKenzie–Apperly cliff-top links, including the par-3 6th over a Pacific cove and the par-5 5th down to the ocean. Lunch in the clubhouse with the entire course visible below. Afternoon at the Park Hyatt rooftop pool. Dinner at leisure — we recommend Quay at Circular Quay, three-hatted with a harbour-front room.

Day04

Eastern Beaches · Bondi to Coogee

The Coastal Walk — Five Beaches in a Day

Driver to Bondi for an early swim at Icebergs Pool, then the full coastal walk south — Tamarama, Bronte Baths, Waverley Cemetery on the cliff, Clovelly's protected bay, Gordon's Bay (with its 600-metre underwater nature trail), and Coogee. Six kilometres, two-and-a-half unhurried hours, five swimming beaches and two ocean pools. Long lunch on the rooftop at the Coogee Pavilion. Driver collects for the return; afternoon spa treatment booked at the Park Hyatt. Quiet dinner at The Living Room on the harbour terrace.

Chapter Three  ·  Rose Bay
Day05

Rose Bay · Above Bondi

The Royal Sydney Golf Club · Bennelong Farewell

Morning round at The Royal Sydney Golf Club in Rose Bay, just up the hill from Bondi — five-time host of the Australian Open and recently restored by Mackenzie & Ebert. Founded in 1893, this is one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in Australia. Long lunch in the magnificent harbourside clubhouse. Afternoon free; we recommend the Manly ferry from Circular Quay (30 minutes each way past the Heads) for one last harbour vantage. Farewell dinner at Bennelong, Peter Gilmore's restaurant inside the Opera House sails — the only restaurant in the world set inside a building of that stature.

Day 3 · World #68 · Australia #5 · MacKenzie 1926

NSW Golf Club

Alister MacKenzie's 1926 cliff-top masterpiece overlooking Botany Bay. The only Sydney course in the world Top 100. The famous par-3 6th plays over a Pacific cove from a tee on a rocky outcrop; the par-5 5th cascades down to the ocean. Recently refined by Tom Doak and Mackenzie & Ebert.

The Royal Sydney Golf Club

Day 5 · Australia #28 · 5× Australian Open Host · Founded 1893

The Royal Sydney Golf Club

One of Australia's oldest and most prestigious clubs, sitting in Rose Bay just up the hill from Bondi. Five-time host of the Australian Open — Crampton, Player, Calcavecchia, Allenby, Baddeley — and recently restored to championship form by Mackenzie & Ebert.

Beyond the Fairways

The Harbour · Days 1–2

Sydney from
the Top & the Sails

BridgeClimb Summit at Sunset The 3.5-hour BridgeClimb Summit takes you up the steel arches of the Sydney Harbour Bridge — 1,332 stairs and ladders to the apex 134 metres above the water. The sunset session lights the Opera House sails gold below you. All gear, training and certificate provided.
Sydney Opera House — Private Tour A guided behind-the-scenes tour of Jørn Utzon's 1973 masterpiece, including the concert hall, the Joan Sutherland Theatre, and rarely accessed back-of-house spaces. Concludes at the Opera Bar at water level for harbour-side aperitivo.
The Rocks & Royal Botanic Garden The colonial heart of Sydney — convict laneways and the Suez Canal walk — paired with the 30-hectare Royal Botanic Garden curving around Farm Cove. Mrs Macquarie's Chair gives you the single greatest harbour vantage point in the city.
The Coast · Days 3–4

Five Beaches,
Six Kilometres

Bondi Icebergs Pool The 1929 ocean pool at the southern end of Bondi Beach — saltwater, surf-fed and almost unfairly photogenic. Reserved cabana on arrival; light breakfast in the upstairs Icebergs dining room overlooking the surf.
The Coastal Walk — Bondi to Coogee Six kilometres along sandstone cliffs and ocean pools, taking in Tamarama, Bronte, Waverley Cemetery on the cliff edge, Clovelly's protected bay, Gordon's Bay and its 600-metre underwater nature trail, and finally Coogee. Two-and-a-half hours at an unhurried pace.
Coogee Pavilion & Manly Ferry Lunch on the rooftop at Coogee Pavilion — an 1887 sea-bath complex transformed into the city's most generous beach-side dining room. On Day 5, the 30-minute Manly ferry past the Heads delivers the harbour's other great panorama.

Your Address · 5 Nights

Park Hyatt Sydney —
Between Sails & Steel

No hotel in the world has a better address. The Park Hyatt sits on the finger of sandstone at 7 Hickson Road, Opera House to the east across the cove and Harbour Bridge directly overhead — the city's two great icons in a single uninterrupted view from your private balcony. 155 rooms, every one with a butler on call, Le Labo amenities, heated Toto fittings, monsoon shower and bath, and floor-to-ceiling glass that opens onto the harbour. Rooftop pool, signature spa, and the hotel's destination restaurant The Dining Room by James Viles on the ground floor.

The signature Harbour and Opera Suites face directly across Sydney Cove with floor-to-ceiling glass and a private balcony. King bed with custom linens, separate marble bathroom with deep-soaking bath and walk-in monsoon shower, dedicated 24-hour butler, espresso bar, and a writing desk angled towards the Opera House. Roughly 90 to 110 square metres of restraint and quiet — the Sydney Suite (the largest, top-floor) adds a separate sitting room and rooftop terrace.

Dining Under
the Sails

The hotel's signature restaurant, helmed by celebrated Australian chef James Viles, serves a contemporary Australian tasting menu drawn almost entirely from regional producers — native ingredients, line-caught seafood from the day's market, lamb and beef from the Southern Highlands. The dining room itself looks directly across to the Opera House sails, with The Bar and The Living Room cafe completing the ground-floor harbour terrace. Welcome dinner here on Day 1.
